ALMOND SHORTBREAD RECIPE
Happy Sunday! I thought I would share my almond shortbread recipe as it is so simple to do! I am definitely not an experienced baker by any means, but this is so easy to follow and can be made in 30 minutes too. I've based this on a millionaire shortbread recipe I found but changed it to add an almond flavour to the biscuits!
Ingredients: 250g plain flour
75g caster sugar
175g butter
50g almond grounds
Sprinkle of toasted flaked almonds
Step one: Heat the oven to 180C and lightly grease & line a square baking tin.
Step two: Mix 250g plain flour, 75g caster sugar and 175g of soft butter together firstly with a spoon, then mix it together with your hands until it looks like breadcrumbs.
Step three: Add the 50g ground almonds and mix in with your hands.
Step four: Place the mixture in the baking tin and spread out as evenly as you can using a fork.
Step five: Bake for 10 minutes, then add a few sprinkles of the toasted flaked almonds on the top. Place back in for another 10 minutes or until it looks golden brown. Let it cool down and fully set and then cut into slices!
That's it! Enjoy xx
